They were given the same amount of time as all the other remakes (oras had 1 year of development) it's just gamefreak gave them jackshit and made them assemble their own engine mish-mashed with data from swsh. Who knows what they could've done with 3 years of development like PLA

The game was made in Unity though?
The problem isnt Gamefreak, it was TPC handing off a whole game to a support studio of all things.
Though to be fair had nufreak worked on the game it likely wouldn't have turned out much better

this. i used one in my latest HG run and even with leftovers, solar power takes more HP than you recover. sunflora already has a naturally high special attack so solar power is overkill in most situations.

I hate that Sunflora in general is such a shitmon. Could have at least given it part-fire typing will the excuse that its face draws in intense heat from the sun. Then give it a few fire moves too and it might be decent.

Those are early game mons. It’s different.
The issue with Sunflora is that you’re popping an evolution stone to get it, instead of just getting a mon to level 20. It’s a much bigger investment and and the results of it just are not worth it.
