Did you forget they deliberately shoved most Legends in the rehash versions, up until they mandated VGC entry needed a particular catch mark or battle-ready treatment, whereupon they immediately shoved every past Box and Trio legend (as well as the many randoms) into the games' endgame Legend hunt?
Zacian will appear in more Generations going forward than your shitmon favourite ever will.

I don't know about the spinoffs, but it was so good in sword and shield because all the pokemon that were better than it (Arceus, Primal Groudon, Mega Rayauaza) and also happened to check or outright counter it got dexcut
