>>53570844The Team Star part definitely needs spicing up. All the important events of Starfall Street happened over a year in the past with only a few named characters having any involvement in them (namely the Star leaders), and none of the current school staff members are even aware there used to be a big bullying problem. Something has to be done there to make for drama in the present day beyond the Team Star members being under threat of expulsion. Perhaps the conflict between Star and the bullies ought to still be ongoing, below the surface of a happy student body?
The Path of Legends part is mostly fine as-is, it probably mostly needs some further exposition along the way to flesh out Arven's alienation from his parents and the sob story of his dog. Also some more foreshadowing of the impending threat of unknown monsters, artifacts and plant life etc. breaking through and spreading from the Crater disrupting Paldea's ecosystems.
Victory Road could benefit from giving each of its relevant characters (gym leaders and elite four, Geeta, even Nemona) more time in the spotlight to highlight their personalities and reasons for being part of the League institution and aiming for greater heights of Pokemon battling. Also the protagonists; is humoring their new friend Nemona their only reason for competing, what's in it for them?
And then, of course, you have to try and tie all of these story threads together instead of having them all separate but available to progress at any time like the video game. I would not envy the writer attempting this.
