They focus test the living SHIT out of Japanese kids, there's not two weeks go by without some poll, vote or survey asking kids their opinions on the things. But they know the west will buy it anyway, they'll reach the prime audience they seek to reach and the rest's irrelevant, as they'll get kids diving sales across the board to supplement the adults who'll occasionally pony up. Ad that's why #BBND got ignored and greninja dexited, why the also-rans of Kanto got relegated to coding and why they ultimately got cut. Because ultimately, the majority of players don't give a fuck for their bitching. And tht doesn't affect their sales or reach. When you learn to accept that, you'll be happier playing the kiddy game, I assure you.
