>>53575742>>53575859May's ORAS design is good, but the one of Ruby/Sapphire is just so iconic and got immortalized by the anime, so that is the one I always visualize for May. The one thing I find egeregious about ORAS May is that they replaced her bandana with a bow, and that is simply a crime, the bandana has always been her identity sign, removing it feels criminal. May's Emerald outfit is great too, I like the combination of the green bandana with the orange clothes and her official art is better than the one from RS. If in RS she looks approachable and cool in Emerald she looks fierce and determined.
Brendan's best design is no doubt Emerald's one aesthetic wise. His RS looks inapropiate for Hoenn's tropical climate and her ORAS look though way more practical has a silly looking official art (same applies for the RS art too). Emerald's Brendan by comparisson looks like a chad and the keeps the same color palette as May, which elevates his design. Also, out of all his designs the Emerald one is the one who pulls the hat-hair look the best.
