I tried replaying the series and found them all to be pretty mediocre... maybe I'm just on major Pokemon burnout...
RBY held up better than I expected, people shit on its bugs but I didn't find any,
The distortion world in platinum was as cool as I remembered it.
Black and White were pretty good, Ghetsis was a cool final boss.

Lel, b/w made me quit the series in middle school it was so boring. Garbage designs and boring story. I remember just closing the game when N wouldn't ahut up. ORAS was my first time playing gen 3 and it made me realize just how shit the series had become and that nostalgia fags are right. I haven't played a polemon game in maybe a decade, and I don't regret it at all. Everything past ORAS seems just as bad as B/W if not worse.

The appeal of the mainline games has always been the multiplayer, aside from that they're just beginner's RPGs with generally good designs and music.

It's almost impossible to play through without experiencing bugs. They just don't matter and are barely noticable.

rest feel too complex or too simple and don't really give you feeling of adventure, of course gen 5 have own flaws, but the storytelling is somewhat fitting and not pushed or lacking like with gen 3-4 and gen 6-8

I've been replaying my old White recently and I can't believe how much shit I missed as a kid. Waterfalls, deep caves, I didn't even do the Looker mission where you find the Sages so I've been doing that and got my ass handed to me by the level 80 Volcarona (I was replaying the game with a new team to make it more fun, I wasn't cheesing it with my level 100s). It really revived my interest in pokemon.

This is autistically trivial but the cries in gen 5 sounded great, I don't know what they did to them in every gen after but they just sound so watered down now.
