Don't they make you happy? How do you express your joy? If I'm alone I go super saiyan but if there are people around I just clench and do a fist pump. I like showing my family and my nieces and nephews, the adults are never impressed but the kids think it's neat.

I don't really know how to describe it. I'm glad to have them, but they don't make me particularly excited. They're not hard to get, it's more or less just a matter of time and commitment.
I'm also borderline autistic and seeing other people with them pisses me off lol

I think one of them might have been a magnemite when I caught it but I unironically do have 3 shinies from that same evolution line.
Only other non-GO shiny I’ve ever had was a machamp from soulsilver that I forgot to transfer to gen 5 and accidentally deleted when I restarted my game to play a nuzlocke cause i’m a retard

That makes sense, I just assumed since I only hunt in gen 3 it feels great for everyone else. I found a couple shinies in gen 7 without even trying and they were neat but since it was so easy it was not very satisfying. My nephew was playing PLA and I saw him run into a shiny Ambipom and he was happy but also underwhelmed because he already had a lot of shinies and he wasn't even looking for it. When I find shinies I'm not hunting in gen 3 it could be my least favorite pokemon and I would be ecstatic and use it on my team. It can take me months of suffering to find a shiny but it feels great when it happens. I really enjoy the handful of shinies I have.

I only started learning to breed after playing the games since birth in Gen 6, when they made it more streamlined
I started Shiny hunting in LGPE because it was easy just to kill time, but then after PLA I started committing even more time to it since theres steps to make it less annoying to sit there for hours doing fuck all
I already have a living dex, so I'm gradually working towards doing the same with shinies

This is how I feel about my chained shinies compared to my full odds shinies in Platinum.
The chained ones are nice to have but it just doesn’t feel the same as ones that took literal months to find
