That's a corporate theme not actually being corporate. They wouldn't pay that much money just for some pokemon battles in specialized rooms.

This it was cool, gave more of a serious vibe than any other elite 4. I also liked that the champion was actually running shit and keeping the whole gym challenge in line.

I actually liked the Sports Stadiums in SwSh because Pokemon should feel like a real sport within the context of that world, and for some reason Pokemon games rarely capture that. Pokemon Stadium and Battle Revolution did it with their live sports commentators and stuff. The idea Pokemon League would have Sports stadiums like SwSh, but every Stadium should be different depending on the location, like in Battle Revolution. What SV did though was just fucking sad...

The concept is good, but still makes for a very dull string of fight in place of what used to be the climax of your pokemon journey.
It would have been better to have the lame room only for Larry because he used a general one instead of a custom arena, this way we could have the corporate joke while keeping the usual elite rooms
