Longer story with more content.
More side stuff, like contests. Maybe more achievements.
Bigger region.
More advanced overworld pokemon behavior.
Being able to play as an adult.

Pretty much this and I'd be happy.

>gym puzzles are actual puzzles not just some half assed minigame programmed by some intern in a couple hours
>loads of optional side areas that are actually fleshed out and aren't just a cave with 3 tms
>bring back actual dungeons
>no tranny npc designs
>rematchable trainers with progressing teams like in gsc/rse/dppt
>rematchable gym leaders and can be seen doing stuff outside their gym in the postgame like in hgss
>two elite four rematches (like in bdsp)
>post-game region/island with more trainers and a storyline (gsc/hgss kanto, battle zone, eastern unova, poni island etc.)
>more fleshed out character customization
>make raids more fun (they're a great concept, just need to be executed better)
>no more gimmicks
>acceptable graphics, or just a solid art style
>gen 1-5 pokemon models have their PROPER FUCKING COLOURS

Ideally I'd want a proper open world with great art direction but realistically I'd rather they go with the let's go art style.
