>>53595921It's not interesting enough to be an evolution, it's just Medicham with more clothes tacked on over it. Very few pokemon families are that conservative with evolutions outside some of the RBY mons, where the entire concept of the monsters you catch being able to evolve was added late in dev after many of the monsters had already been designed and they weren't sure how to iterate on the premade mons. None of the mega evolutions really add to the base designs at all or even flesh out the concept at all. With the exceptions of Slowbro and Sableye they just slap extra spikes or double up on the monster's existing features.
