>>53597152As an anon who started with gen2, Kanto never struck me as a real region, a place that could exist as depicted in games. Felt more like a theme park you need to go through in a select order, which places barriers and trees in a way that breaks all remnants of immersion.
I can't take seriously a region where gyms are blocked off by trees or where cities have walls preventing citizens from getting out other than through a hole in somebody's fucking house.
Not even touching on the rest of the design.
