When it comes to the games, I'm not a genwunner at all, but I decided to go back and re-watch the Kanto episodes of the anime and holy shit why was it so good? For a glorified toy commercial, there are so many iconic moments and I remember way more than I thought I did despite not seeing any of these episodes for 20+ years.
