Lille got the benefit of not only being in the anime for a while, but also having the rest of the Alola lolis as support. The 3 (4 if you include Chicken) (6 if you include Hapu and Acerola, which you shouldn’t) all reinforce each other’s popularity. As a group they can go way farther than as if they were alone, like Marnie.
Nemona on the other hand is certainly benefiting from being the newest, but she’s also just very different from every other rival/friend character - and that helps her stand out thanks to SV’s more active writing. We still have to see if that’ll hold out going forwards, but I can see her being well remembered even several gens down the line.
