If they ever did fusions they'd just be like in modern Yugioh where the materials are generic so they don't design any combinations, something like "1 Dark-Type Pokemon + 1 Normal-Type Pokemon".

there's been an effort to fill out the cofagrigus chart lately. seems like that would tend to produce lazy work, but as long as no one person takes on too much the fusions no one would otherwise think of can lead to some cool and unconventional ideas

I've not played Pokemon since I was about 12 years old when Pokemon Yellow was a thing.
I've just done a 72 hour binge into the end game.

I really love that most of Torterra's fusions are designed around its shell having things like, towns, cities, grassfields, forests, etc. Fitting since it's the continent pokemon.

Question about how the game handles the encounter pool.

When I selected the randomized run I was sort of expecting every route to be filled with new abominations of nature to catch and un/fuse.
For example a route would have an expanded encounter pool made with the randomizer in mind.
But clearly the system is instead a replacer where something replaces a Pidgey, Ratata, etc and these things appear every time one would normally encounter a Pidgey, Ratata, etc. Not only that but I've seen the same pokemon used in wild fusion about 3 times now either as the head or body.

I just hit Fuchsia and have been seeing a shitty Tauros/Kingler fusion since Palette town and am sick of it. Is my solution here to go upstairs in the pokemon center and talk to that guy to reshuffle everything?

The best way for beginners to learn imo is frankensteining existing sprites. You can just grab them from bulbapedia, or the discord has sheets of gen 5 sprites broken up into each animated part. You seem to have a basic grasp on what you're doing but there are also general tutorials in there.

The only way to freely change ivs, evs and natures is to unlock the magic boots (aka the debug mode)all you need to do is catch all non fused pokemon in the game
The good thing about the debug boots is that it's the only item that you can transfer to NG+

I'm actually not sure.
Jynx can learn Quiver Dance via TM in this game despite not being able to do so in the main games.
Same with the Exeggutor line learning Softboiled, the Mime line learning Draining Kiss, and Togepi learning Shell Smash.
Seems like some mons had their movesets modified in this game, and those are just the ones I've found.
