There are many weird body markings in Gen 3, that's maybe its main and only weak point regarding design, though I think Swalot's are ok overall.

i can see a lot of people not liking this, but i made a third stage. the crown is meant to be a sea cucumber like protrusion, & the grey color references the concept of grey goo

I adore them both, Gulpin especially, and I’m always happy to see them. Unfortunately, I have never really been given the opportunity to use them in nearly twenty years because I almost always have something better to use by the time they’re available to catch.
I brute-forced using Swalot for the recent Decidueye event battle, and it held its own remarkably well, but it was still struggling compared to other meta choices. I was just glad I finally had the chance to really take advantage of its bizarre support moves in a format where its stat spread wouldn’t be a resource drain.

Shockwave / Toxic / Shadow Ball / Ice Beam Swalot went fucking buck wild on gen 3 elite four when I first used it. Tried out of curiosity and was easily the MVP of my playthrough with oddballs I'd otherwise never touched

gobball is a pretty nice name that fits it, right idea, I don't like that it loses its hands but I'd use it, like the sea cucumber crown and the whole king slime bit though

I love these guys, they exude soul and are one of those mons that kind of capture the essence of Hoenn to me for some reason, want to buff them for a romhack, I think I want to let them learn flamethrower cause they're stomachs (heartburn, spicy food, fire swallowers etc.), and give them thick fat cause of how much they eat, how should I boost Swalot's stats?

it just wasn't a feature i liked on swalot. don't know why. i also feel it's going with the logic of only one yellow element on them. gulpin's leaf/feather thing and swalot's whiskers, and gobball's "crown" thingy

Fair nuff. If that’s the design you want to go with, changing the suites out was all it needed—now Swalot’s own patterns feel more like a natural progression into your OC.
