This is a play on an older card(N, which just shuffled your hand and then drew) which was also meta.
This version doubles down on the upside of N by making sure your opponent won't be drawing into the hand at all.
Its good to refill your hand as well obviously, without making deckout more liable like some other supporters. And even if your opponent hasn't setup some cards in hand, just the late game blowout of forcing them to go to two or so can be devastating.
