You posting the Pink Panther doesn't help because that's an individual character, while Inteleon is supposed to be a member of an entire species. This checks another box of problems that people have with both Inteleon and a lot of starters of late, that being that they're made to looking like unique characters as opposed to a species that lives in the world.
We did the exact same song and dance with Incineroar too now that I think about it, people disliked the thin limbs, it being bipedal, and sausage fingers, other people tried to defend it by saying "well I like it so your criticisms don't matter, actually", Incineroar winds up in the dumpster as Decidueye keeps getting shilled post Gen 7.
Inteleon is a divisive design and it's fanbase is primarily people who just really love the bishounen type character it portrays. People who dislike it commonly say it would probably be better if it had thicker limbs, which really and truly isn't that unreasonable because as

I don't think anyone ITT is saying you can't like Inteleon, people just dislike the design for one reason or another and you're getting extremely defensive over it for some reason. People understand the intent of the design, people understand what kind of character Inteleon is supposed to be, but that doesn't instantly make it look good. You can have intentions clear as day and convey that to the audience perfectly, but if your intentions are shitty on the base level, people won't like your thing no matter what. You saying people disliking it means they don't understand it just makes you come off as a seething manchild.
Shit's ugly, it's really as simple as that.
