Every. Fucking. Generation. I was hoping the games would step up and match the awesomeness of the first episode.
I gave up at the start of Gen IV, and been vaguely hoping for some concurrent franchise to do it instead, since GF will never deliver.
And even *that* I gave up on, currently toying with Unity's new high-perfs shit and will try to make my own with blackjack and hookers, because for fuck's sake I'm not letting 8yo me's dream die.
