>>53646080NTA but yes. The idea that muh cutscenes = bad is peddled exclusively by zoomers who think Dark Souls is the pinnacle of storytelling. The problem is that Pokemon's cutscenes are fucking terrible and there's basically zero character interaction outside of the main plot, so people conflate "Pokemon story is bad so they shouldn't even try" with "story is bad so Pokemon shouldn't have it".
There should of course be the third option, which is Pokemon should have a good story and characters. Guess thats too much to ask for the biggest franchise in the world of course
