>>53655858>nice strawman, NOTICE how nobody mentioned spamming STAB with startersWhy would they need to? Are you saying you deliberately don't use Flame Wheel for the majority of the playthrough? Typhlosion has a type advantage over Bryce, Jasmine and Bugsy, and only Clair resists Fire, do you honestly expect me to think you just let your fire type sit out those gym battles and hit neutral targets with nonSTAB attacks?
Furthermore, the entire reason Chikorita is """bad""" is because Grass fucking sucks in Johto due to most gyms and all of Team Rocket resisting it, unlike fire or water. So yes, if you say Chiko sucks, it's because you can't spam STAB, fucking retard.
Meganium has 83/83 offenses which is more than enough for any in game playthrough, especially if you give it Headbutt in Ilex Forest and Return for lategame.
>unique doesn't always translate into good or funYes, I know it's very hard for an ADHD addled 12 year old to NOT hit the "make everything on screen explode" button, or god forbid play around the rest of their team, but I'm saying that just because something isn't fun for literal infants doesn't mean it has no merits overall.
>haha chikorita support is a fucking no brainerYes because that's what it was designed to do and what the design of the region encourages, since, again, it can't get away with spamming STAB like the other two starters.
>you want to use your head you'd come up with a chikorita that's offensive and can carry you through attacksIf you really want to go through the trouble of breeding, you can have a Leech Seed Chiko right after Ilex Forest by breeding it with an Exeggcute or Hoppip, but for the average playthough/Nuzlocke, making it a bulky supportmon that can set screens and switch out, or take hits, heal them off with Synthesis and then hit back with Return/EQ is perfectly serviceable. Meanwhile Typhlosion and Feraligatr are literally just spamming STAB.
