>>53666847>And I have to ask, where the FUCK were these people when SWSH came out and hardcore shills were sucking Game Freak cock like there was no tomorrow and anyone criticizing them was labelled a whiny manchild? How do I say this...we live in a world where whatever the company does is good, and whatever they don't do doesn't matter (until they do it). The line between good and bad isn't set, it changes like the tide, only the "tide" is whatever Gamefreak does for that game/generation.
Remember that one Joe screencap where he said he was excited for the games to have proper scaling because of SM or LGPE or something, then when SWSH didn't have proper scaling, he said that was fine and made up excuses for why they weren't in the game? It's like that, but with the whole fanbase, and it goes both ways.
Basically, SWSH, when it was new, was "good" and pretty much above any serious criticism, because it was what the company put out and what the company does = good. Now that SV is out, that's the new "good" and people can be honest about how they actually felt about SWSH since it's not the "new" anymore. When PLA's trailer dropped and had that one shot of the Ponyta actually turning instead of the lmao rotate, twitter threw their arms up in celebration, "they listened!" they said, "they fixed it!", they said, even though when SWSH was the 'new', it actually wasn't an issue at the time.
Pokemon is basically a religion in the modern day, people have tied their identities, and even livelihoods to this IP, them insulting it is insulting the years of time and money spent on it, so when anyone has criticism for GF, no matter how valid, they're scum, because the criticism is taken personally, hence why the go to insult for these people are about their hobbies and appearances (fat whiny neckbeard manchild).
If they ever release a Pokemon game with Natdex and forced EXP share off, even the biggest GF shill would clap, because the Party--I mean Game Freak can do no wrong.
