They honestly should have never made the committment to put all the Pokémon in every game in the first place. The only reason I miss them is because for a period of time, there was a sort of automatic guarantee that I could use them in the next game.

And before you mongos start, I'm not pro-dexit. They made the committment in the first place, they should have tried harder to stick by it rather than what they did.

Those are just alternate textures.

Furfrou's different models actually require polygonal changes to the model itself. It's not as simple as swapping it to a different texture.

Furfrou isn't getting axed because of difficulty, it's purposely being with held because it's a stupidly valuable Pokmeon due to its forms and it's much more likely they're going to make it event exclusive or something later. It's like Vivillon forms but worse.

Monkeys and Patrat have the same problem, they are ugly Pokemon with no unique mechanical features. Almost every Pokemon has SOMETHING but they just straight up had no thought put into their design beyond “Raticate 2” and “type tutorial”

it's got a moveset that only exists to waste as much of the player's time as possible in the story, while being utterly worthless if the player uses it

Eh, Patrat has some decent power behind it early on, then once the game gets too tough for it, it can just be a helpful mon for catching others with Hypnosis and Super Fang. Gets Mean Look too. Can even pass boosts with Baton Pass(though being stuck with just Work Up until post game is pretty lame).
It sure as hell beats the pants off the Purrloin line, that one is just painful to use.
