Forgot to come here when the 1st episode aired to see what you people were talking so, what's the general opinion around here so far?

Also, do you think this anime can last? Because by the 1st episode, and considering that both Riko and Roy have something special (are special snowflakes) instead of being random nobodies, I feel like this anime will have 49 episodes and start rotating protagonists.

What's special about them. I don't hear enough people talking about it so I can't pretend I watched the show like I usually do

First of all: kek.
Riko has a pendant she got from her grandma that has a Pokémon inside, said Pokémon being related to Terapagos (pre-evolution, part of a whole, we don't know yet) and Roy has a "mysterious Pokéball", but since he didn't appear in the first episode, I don't know anything else about it, but appearance-wise, it looks like something from Magearna's time.

So far a garbage Shojo plot with Charizard and Pikachu front and centre.
They are trying to use the airship "pirate crew" to capture some of the One Piece audience as well.

As for second question, I think they were planning for it to be rotating protags from the start. But i think it'll be longer than 49, more like two full years, so 80-90.
