The whole plot of generation 6 is based around different dimensions (some where megas exist, some where they dont), and she knows about that from the same sources she got the informations about the meteor from, and she was right. Also yes, im pretty sure a random different world wouldnt have enough time, when a meteor suddenly appeard out of nowhere above them, ESPECIALLY when its not a mega-world

The problem is, on the timeline where the meteor DID impact, it missed Hoenn entirely and ended up on Birth Island; the impact was such a non- issue that nobody noticed it in lieu of the whole Kyogre/Groudon mess, and even the Deoxys who was riding the thing walked away unharmed. So Zinnia stirring shit up and making Kyogre and Groudon even MORE of a threat than they already were to summon Rayquaza to stop what would ultimately be a nothingburger was just plain stupid.

seeing how birth island already exists from the beginning in gen3 means that the same situation couldnt have happened there, because the meteor is falling during the main story of the remakes (this could either mean that the meteor impact happened earlier in that timeline or that the meteor itself didnt even exist -only deoxys itself- or was WAY smaller.
The meteor from ORAS WOULD have hit Hoenn, the scientists themselves knew that
