They don't have the same design philosophy or even same set of artists as gens 1 - 2 and so no matter how you draw these shitters they will always suck massive dick. Everything Gen 6+ is egregiously different in art style to a hilarious degree that the monsters no longer look like they belong next to each other,

I don't like Unova either, I just knew if I said "gen 5+" I would get a bunch of screeching Unova fans replying and telling me how good that Pokedex is, even though it's 99% garbage. I feel like its art style is drastically different from gens 1 - 4, but it's unique even compared to gens 6+ as well.

The only gens that matter are gens 1 - 3 to me, 4 is okay I guess but I don't really care about it that much.

Gen 6 designs are closer, overall, in style to Gens 1 & 2 than any other, though. You certainly cannot claim Gen 3 or 4 designs are cohesive with Gen 1 & 2 when it has been admitted that they were trying to do something different.

the rest are valid complaints but this one seems like a massive nitpick
lots of actual gen 2 sprites have lesser accents missing because of color palette limitations
if you added in the jade you'd have to get rid of either the red or the orange and getting rid of the latter looks especially wrong
