>>53675562It's okay but I think it's really weird how easily you can break the progression just because they have that system that reorients you to fight Pokemon. The fact you can immediately fight a Pokemon across the gap and have access to the entire map as soon as you can move around is really silly. I'm somehow at war with Team Star and apparently can Terastallize according to NPCs in the thicket and various area when I haven't even been to school yet in like 100 hours. Nemona is still waiting to teach me how to Terrastallize while I've already explored everything but like two Pokecenters and the League.
I also don't really like how they did caves. The Dalizapa Passage and Colonnade Hollow are probably the only good ones I've seen so far. Everything else feels like straight lines that lead to more straight line "caves", or simply large areas with a single ramp down that I don't care about going through at all.
I appreciate that they at least tried to make variety, especially in West Province (Area One), but South Province (Area One and Five) and East Province (Area One and Two) are extremely boring. East Province (Area Three) and South Province (Area Three) at least try to add some variety in exploration, but they're so samey despite one being canyons and the other being linked quarries. Tagtree Thicket is probably the most visually interesting area but it comes at the cost of the game running at 1 FPS.
Also, releasing PLA before this was a massive mistake because all I can think of is how PLA was better in almost every way. Even basic qol changes are annoying not to have like mass releasing.
