The amount of coins you win on level 1 should've been about equal to current level 2, and the systems should have upgraded from there.

Where's the skill? At least with the slots you can get the timing down to where hitting 777 is pretty consistent, with Voltorb flip it's just praying to christ you don't get fucked by inevitable odds.

You can hack the JP/KR Game Corner room back in, which enables you to buy coins again. But you have to manually add the English text as it was scrubbed from the international release.
