Yeah, honestly I have no idea why it´s rock type, the design is entirely metal with no rocks or tar at all. Dark electric makes more sense if they didn´t want to make another steel-type violet paradox, though to be fair they made a good chunk of of the violet ones electric as well, so having 2 steel types wouldn´t really be that bad.

regular Tyranitar was also Rock type but people still used it so Rock type alone can't be that bad. maybe instead it's because it lost Sand Stream, not the fact that it has Rock type. having seven fucking weaknesses, one of which is a x4 weakness, is never a good thing and having less weaknesses should never hurt a pokemon

Rock was the one type Tyranitar kept for life. And Iron Pokémon are powered by electricity anyway. Two other Future Paradoxes are also Electric. Rock/Electric is perfect for it.
