I couldn't even finish it. I hated the pokemon go style of gameplay. Catching the same pokemon over and over again for experience isnt fun.

I dont understand all the hate, im playing it now after having not played any mainline since BW and I love it.
Gonna play all the Switch game (BDSP is next) but this game is great, I thought I would hate the whole no random battle thing but honestly its fine.
Does everyone here just find one thing they dislike about every Pokemon game then blow it out if proportion and claim its the worst game ever?

For what it was intended to, it worked. It was never targeted to veteran players, but to capture the new GO fanbase. Maybe this game contributed to the record sales for the mess that SwSh, BDSP and SV would be.

Ironic though how it ended both the best looking and best performing Pokémon Switch "main" game. The only one with megas, too.
