I'm doing a catch em all run of Pearl and intend to truly catch every pokemon as I progress through the game. I plan to slather honey trees constantly from the moment they're available, hopefully I'll find a munchlax before I beat the game. I think I likely will considering how long it'll take, the main thing I'm worried about is finding the munchlax trees.
