I'm sincerely glad the Battle Frontier didn't return in ORAS or BDSP and the postgame additions to those games were far better. I'm also glad SV and hopefully all new games going forward will keep battle facility cancer out.
Masters is legitimately the best Pokemon spinoff, period, better than PLA (shut up I don't care if you think it's mainline), PMD, etc. And this is coming from someone who dislikes gachas.
The ashnime while not good was still far better than any of the anime spinoffs we've ever had. I had to gag my way through Generations and Twilight Wings.
Johto leaders not using Johto Pokemon was one of that game's few major strengths, it really felt more natural and not like some theme park showoff of new mons. Wish more games did it.
Charizard is a genuinely amazing design and Pokemon and has deserved every single one of its cool new forms and all of its hype. I look forward to see what it gets in the DLC.
I think Bug types are usually terrible and I hate how they've garnered a strong underdog status that people clamor around. Meanwhile I think Fairy was a great addition and I hope they add some new types like Sound to spice things up.
