How do I enjoy Pokémon again?

Becoming a competitive fag a few years ago ruined this franchise for me. I can't play the games normally now. I keep worrying about natures, IVs, EVs, abilities, etc.

I want that good felling of just finding a Pokémon, catching it and using it. I haven't been able to enjoy a game ever since. It's over. I think it's time to go back to being a Shin Megami Tenfag.

Just hack the pokemon in. There's literally no fuckin way to tell the difference. Just roll through single player and just hack in perfect mons for pvp, who gives a fuck if you spent 1000 extra hours training it yourself. No one will ever know or give a dirty cunt FUCK. And losing because you have less stats is just moronic.

Pokemon is really really really shit at actually being a game

The only way to have fun with in game playthroughs is to gimp yourself with a challenge run where you just use whatever shows up

Changeable with mints

Irrelevant due to bottle caps and hyper training

Completely changeable with berries and vitamins

Just make a rule to only catch the first of each pokemon encountered. If you got the wrong ability, tough shit. Get it right next run.
Don't grind ever, that shit is for fags. You should know better if you're into SMT.
I hardly know or care what EV / IVs are but you can figure the rest out.

Also play Gen 2, it doesn't have most of that stuff that you mentioned ruining pokemon for you.

If anything it's more fun to use pokemon with unconventional natures and bad IVs. Think of it as an element of challenge only the games can give, just going ahead and tanking the disadvantage and even using it to your advantage can be fun

THIS. Only recently have I started completing the regional dexes as a part of my playthroughs but honestly it adds a lot to playthroughs, especially earlier games with less mons. It can be fun to collect all the mons as you progress through the games, and it adds a sense of purpose to the exploration and wild encounters.

HAHAHA! Kill yourself compfag! I have never seen an IV or counted an EV in a playthrough. Docile just means the Pokemon wants to learn and Timid means the Pokemon gets shy around others. I have never released a Pokemon or deleted any of my save files, ever!

Comp is the main reason I play Pokemon but during story playthroughs I just pick a theme or some of my favorites and go with it. EVs, IVs and natures don't matter when the games have always been extremely easy.

absolutely incorrect. The average player thinks half the dex is ugly and wont even consider using them. The typical casual cares much more about aesthetics and thus won't touch whatever pops up on any old route because, most of the time, whatever pops up is ugly.

yeah all you can do is make a rule so you have to use the first pokemon you catch of that species. like in a nuzlocke without the nuzlocke part. i have the same issue and im not even a compfag. i only play single player mode. theres not even the "it wasnt intended" excuse considering you can see what natures and abilities do in the game itself. shit is so gay. ivs and evs are easy to ignore but yeah the nature/ability garbage kills the game and im not even mentioning how if you want a specific gender you are extra fucked.
