The raid can be easily beaten with 4 Iron Hands, or 3 IH and a Screech user. Build Tera Charge first and wait for it to remove stat changes. Then Belly Drum and Tera and it's an easy victory.

In all seriousness Defiant is just the all-around better ability overall, it's much more likely to be useful than it is to be useless or a detriment

Was going to 4D-Chess him, but ended up just Rage Fisting him to death with a (relatively) junk rage-monkey that happened to have an Ice-terra-thingy.

I initially tried to Bulk Up first, but considering Twink-eon throws debuffs, he ended up buffing the fuck out of me with Defiant. Shell Bell helped a ton, but I also had Olivee-bro healing me throughout the fight.

I just solo'd it with Steel-type Gholdengo. Flash Cannon x3, immediately tera to Steel, then more Flash Cannons until he stat-wipes, at which point you can sneak in a Nasty Plot and just smash A until he dies.

I cleared it with annihilape easily solo. Make sure to have defiant ability and use a covert cloak as the item. Rage fist til you can tera and drain punch when you need to heal. I've done it on two saves without issue. I died once the first time because i didn't heal, but still took it down.

I tried to solo with this for fun and it worked, it relies on getting 1/8 crit though but Snipe Shot is pretty much all it uses

>Recover
MIR until KO'd, should nullify stats. Defense Cheer x3, Recover after every Dark Pulse. If your team set up additional Defense cheers you can worry less about recovery.
Then just set up 3 Nasty Plots, then 2 MIRs, another Nasty Plot, two MIRs, etc., healing as necessary.
Particularly easy if an NPC paras, but did it again afterwards without

Last slot depends, CC for more damage despite SpDef drop, Aqua Step for being faster than it after a +1.
It isn't nearly as good as Iron Hands or Annihilape but being Water gives it a niche since the stupid lizard has no moves against Water types.

>If Inceleon uses Tearful Look, take that as an opportunity to Nasty Plot again
>If not, use Flamethrower or any good fire-type move
>On shield, die once so you can Tera fire into a nasty plot
>From there on, just spam flamethrowers. Shell bell will keep you alive. Use extra Nasty Plots if you feel like it
Inceleon is only able to take out just half of my Chi-Yu’s health with at least one intimidate NPC at the very start before Mist comes into effect

According to dataminers, the buff/ability clearing does not get rid of the Defense Cheer (or the Attack one). However it does go away by itself after a couple turns, they just couldn't pinpoint which reason but that is how it happens. Therefore it is correct to think that the timeline is: NPCs Defense Cheer you, then it disappears some turns later and finally you get cleared of abilities/buffs which by this point you are receiving full brunt of attacks again

Removal of negative effects doesn't make the raid boss get its old ability back. It'll keep Weak Armor after a Skill Swap and get its defense debuffed (or again if it removes negative effects from itself - these are lowered stats and status conditions).

God I fucking hate how the raid boss arbitrarily gets two turns for no reason. Not even at event triggers, it will sometimes just use Blizzard unprompted. Fuck you.

If you don't do comp, just build meta PvE raid mons.
Have a big roster of raid-ready options for whenever something interesting shows up.
Lucky for you, there's nothing of the sort going on atm so you've got a couple weeks before they might be relevant.

Breeding is extremely fast this gen btw. Do some of that.

You can do that if you like farming money.

But for how fast it is now, you could easily just hatch 20-40 eggs of each of 5 species you want to build and get 4-5IVs with the right nature.
Then train all their EVs with power items beating up baby fairies by the lighthouse, then take them to 60-70 grinding around the sushi lake in an afternoon.

At that point it's only 40-30 levels of candy for each, which is a lot cheaper than from 0, especially if you're light on candy. It's definitely slower, but the resources might not be there from square one and doing 5 at once is expensive.

EV training is stupidly easy for raid mons since they all need HP. Literally just pop fairy food and grind Azurills with a non-HP power item until capped, then swap to HP for 20 or so KOs.

I use Zincs a lot, personally. There's a lot of times when a mon's SpD is otherwise too low to be viable as a mixed raider and needs to be boosted, and other times I want to specialize mons to *only* be used against Special Attackers. So I was pretty happy to see a Zinc drop after so many Proteins and Calciums.
