Started a new HeartGold game and have been having fun, going to only catch and use Pokemon lines I never actually used on a team before (with exceptions for my one fav shouldermon and any random shiny) and going to try and immerse myself when playing with comfy headcanon of this girls unique Pokemon journey through Johto; so far have been enjoying myself and don't know why I didn't do this earlier.

After setting out strong with her Totodile, making it to Violet City, and conquering Sprout Tower (in large part thanks to Spinarak), she lost to Faulkner twice in a row before securing her first badge after a little more training and a little bit of luck. After exploring a bit of Dark Cave and finding her newest companion Dunsparce after smashing through a rock, she is now en route to Union Cave, having just stepped onto the route 32 boardwalk.
