Thats how meganium grew on me lol
the gen 8 and 9 starters make it look like an masterpiece of a design in comparison

Tentacruel for me. Used to think it was a fairly whatever pokemon. Never thought it was bad but it wasn't one I particularly cared about. Used Tentacruel in Emerald and in a mono poison run of Sacred Gold, both times it was one of my best performing team members. Really like it now.

Grew on me after using it in Black 2 specifically after it survived a STAB thunderbolt to the face out of sheer thickness during one of the Pokemon World tournament battles. Might even be my favorite gen 3 Pokemon now.
Superfang + Brine is fun to play with
