Look, for most people, if you weren't there in the early 2000s for Pokemania than you'll never understand the love and appreciation for gen 2 Pokemon. You can't just go on youtube, look up some Pokemania-related videos and try to understand the zeitgeist at the time as though you've travelled through a time capsule. You had to be there. The games themselves were not perfect by any means but Pokemon never had as much SOVL as it did during that time. If you know, you know.
