You have to understand, Gamefreak are a small indie studio who are more prone to schedule delays. Joe Merrick, the one who leaked the data mines for sword and shield prior to their release in 2019, is bravely defending the biggest media franchise in the world. I think we all should collectively praise this form of bravery and appreciation during these hard times. Joe is terrified of Pokemon losing the blind support of normalfags not only because that is his major source of income but also since, at this point, it's his whole personal identity. Literally every aspect of his life revolves around Pokemon in some way, from pets to relationships to day-to-day business.
