>>53738606>OakHard to beat the classics. Pretty great, iconic, and the backbone for which all else are compared. I like that he's a friendly, ambitious old man and mentor who's also a worldwide authority with humble origins. Really sets the tone for an adventure well
>ElmCompletely forgettable. Really only serves to prop Oak up.
>BirchI like the idea that he's a more field work oriented prof, and that he has familial connections, but theres not a lot to him outside of that. Hes ok.
>RowanI'm not big on Gen 4, but I gotta admit Rowan is fucking based.
Big fan of the hardass old man trope, and he does it well. Like the sort of dude who wordlessly commands authority as soon as he enters a room. Stern and strict, but not needlessly so, able to recognize when a rule is broken for a greater good. To top it all off the bushy ass angry eyebrows, big ol' stache, and clean professional fashion sense-- A+ professor.
>JuniperI love Gen 5, but she's pretty lame. Would be totally forgettable if not for being a milf, she doesnt do much other than dress like a worn out mother of 5.
>SycamoreDesign wise, he's pretty great. Love the accomplished-yet-fashionable middle aged thing theyre going for. It's a nice change of pace, and he's hot. Story wise he's there a lot, but with most things in XY, he's completely lacking in impact whatsoever. At least he looks cool.
>KukuiIntially I wanted to say he was "Meh", but I think his misgivings- namely his memeishly goofy ass- are more a result of SM's cartoon network yokai watch ass tone than anything. He's unique, has a fleshed out presence and backstory, and DOES do a lot for the plot/world. Helps you on your journey, sets up the league, is married to a hot astrophysicist(?), is a wrestler... I just wish he did more things relating to professing. Could've been a better field work prof than Birch if he did.
