it's hard for me to prefer an NFE or the final form because fully evolved pokemon are what I need if I want to challenge the battle tower or Stadium games

not even Eviolite can save most NFEs because you'll just be wasting an item slot to increase the defenses when the fully evolved form already has higher bulk and you could just slap Leftovers on it if you really needed to. NFEs with higher defenses and HP than their fully evolved counterparts practically don't exist
