I hate being treated like I’m incompetent. I also think she only said she hates Lusamine to shock her out of being mind altered and bringing her back down to earth. She has, and has had, her feelings ignored by her only parent from when she was a child and that is a form of neglect that children without encouragement and validation can experience.
Tl;dr: Lillie isn’t a brat and her issues with her mother are understandable. I’ve always had an independent streak myself and want to be free to do my own thing.
