>>53756134BotW also does this, once you finish the tutorial the game's story guides you to Kakariko and Hateno, then you are given the mission to free the divine beasts and the path of least resistance, because it's the closest, easiest, and don't have to deal with environmental damage, is Vah Ruta. Vah Ruta also gives players a power which is the most useful in the early game when you have few hearts and low defense.
Meanwhile going straight to Hyrule Castle is also an option from the start of the game, but there's so many difficult enemies it is quite the difficult task for new players.
It's just basic open world game design, why are you making up excuses for SV lacking it?
The other option was to just give the gyms level scaling, as you collect badges the gyms become more difficult regardless of the order you took. That's what games like Skyrim do.
But SV has a very clearly defined intended order while not even suggesting this order to new players. It's just dissapointing because it defeats the purpose of an open world game.
Now I have to wonder, if you think SV's open world is good and on par with the open world games you like which ones are you talking about? Because I just mentioned three of the most popular ones and none of them make the mistakes of SV.
