Even if the games sell a lot, Nintendo knows they can't have GameFreak in a 3 year loop forever.
And since this time there's no excuse with the anime, they can take like 6 years for the next game if they wish.
While we have this anime first for the SV story or at least present the paldea dex, then introduce stuff of the 1st DLC and a year later the second DLC.
Nintendo knows they can't have another SV, because SwSh was "fine" just it looked ugly in the Open Area because GF was very amatheur in that. The city design was fine, just the game was WAY too linear.
7th gen had more "lively" routes, and that's to be considered.
Even if GF has no control quality, Nintendo surely has it for THEIR own IPs.
