>>53770305>>53770311Some people seem to be getting these problems and others just get a mild fps drop here and there. Makes me wonder if it has something to do with details of the Switch that's playing it. For instance...
>Red box / OLED / Lite Switches have a lower wattage version of the SoC that runs cooler and throttles less often. Perhaps the people getting serious fps drops have an OG Switch.>Cartridge vs SD vs system memory. As far as I know, system memory is the fastest, followed by cartridge and SD, with SD varying by what brand and class of card you use.>Docked vs handheld. The game seems to perform slightly better in handheld mode since it's rendering less pixels.>TV output resolution, which varies based on the TV you plug it into but you can configure it in system settings too.>Online vs offline. It seems to crash more often when online. Playing offline when not using online features is probably wise. Then again I've only had this happen twice and it was on a previous update version. But it was enough to make me hit disconnect whenever I'm done doing online stuff.I have a red box Switch and the game on a cartridge, with the update data in system memory. I didn't much difference at all when moving the update between my internal memory and a 128 GB Sandisk Ultra SD (class 10, UHS-I, A1). I also get some difference between docked and handheld but not huge. I haven't run into any of the absurd bugs like suddenly getting big, eyes popping out, etc. I have fallen through the terrain once after a battle inside a really narrow tunnel near the orthworm titan. It repositioned my trainer inside a wall when the battle started, and I fell down after. I've also seen places where shadows of large things in the distance pop in and out depending whether a menu is open. And I had my game crash twice randomly while connected to the internet and riding around. And I've encountered the thing where your Pokemon slowly slides downhill while battling on a steep incline.
