The entire premise of Pokemon's combat is that you just need to know a super effective type matchup (that the game tells you most of the time anyway, there was literally an NPC in older games that told you what type to use) and you beat a boss. It has always been infant tier easy where you need to try to lose, and that's fine.
It's only insecure retards who grew up with the DS games, found them hard when they played them as very young kids who are now forever chasing after that feeling within this franchise even after they've learned every mechanic and know how the franchise works. You aren't going to find it here anymore. Just move the fuck on. Actual "hard" games like tough platformers, metroidvanias and soulslikes are all the rage these days. A turn based RPG for kids is not going to give you what you crave.
