I first played pokemon only after I was out of the target demographic, and it really was not worth it if you already cut your teeth on other RPGs. To me pokemon just exists as fuel for daydreaming and escapist fantasies, the games are mostly gay

Gardevior got a Mega which is objectively better than a regional because it bolsters the original form. True shillmons never get regionals, they get special snowflake super saiyan forms like Megas and Gigas or whatever the flying fuck CHARIZARD will get in Gen 9.

Regionals are for Pokémon that a few Game Freak employees happen to like so Game Freak lets them play around with them and imagine how they would adapt to different setting. But at the end of the day they can't compare to the prestige of Megas.

Gallade couldn't have asked for more this gen.
He got Sharpness and is currently viable in every meta (Smogon metas, BSS, VGC, and he's a heat pick in the latter two).
The only thing that's missing is him being recognized in other forms of pokemon media / non-mainline games, but as a Gallade fan I could not be happier with his current situation.
