>>53796831Nope, have you never encountered Fancy Pattern Vivi's on North Area 3? They are legit there
>But's it is a Desert patter oneThat just means some sent a postcard of an IRL region designated for the Desert patterns from GO into SV. This changes ALL Vivillion spawns in your game until 24 hours have passed from the moment you received the postcard data. If you close the game before the 24 hours are up and move the clock back in your Switch you can keep farming a pattern from a postcard if you are inclined to do so. Additionally, Spewpas and Scatterbugs caught during that time will turn into that specific pattern too iirc.
>Can I breed the one I got and get offsprings of that pattern? No. Unlike Gen 6/7 where it doesn't matter where you hatch because a specific pattern is set in stone, in Gen 9 as long as an egg from that line is created in Paldea (in-game area doesn't matter) then it will always become a Fancy pattern Scatterbug once it hatches. No matter the parents the pattern remains Fancy, even if you were in the middle of a postcard pattern overwrite (as explained before) again, any offspring conceived in Paldea remains Fancy. During Gen 6/7 your own 3DS region set your offspring's pattern, so there is not much surprise there.
All this remains true unless DLC changes things to facilitate spreading patterns with their offsprings but don't count on it because these postcards stuff is "GO's relevance" for the moment alongside Roaming Form Gimmi
