Nah I liked PLA and I emgage in balltism, but this didn't bother me because I don't artistically trade up old mons. When I buy a new game, I play a new game. I'll never encounter this ball, so it's whatever. SV is the best and easiest game for balltism there is so far.

The Strange Ball. It's a placeholder ball for Pokemon that were caught in balls that don't exist in that game. All Pokemon caught in non-Hisuian Pokeballs get Strange Balls in Legends Arceus, and conversely all Pokemon caught in Hisuian Pokeballs get Strange Balls in BDSP.

They're like Enigma Berries in gen 4 games.

My balltism hot take is that the animation is more important than the look of the ball. What are you doing drowning your non-water type in a dive ball? I once saw shiny Umbreon in a net ball - yeah, the colour fit is slightly nicer but moon ball is a million time more thematically accurate!
