I would say the backgrounds look worse in that pic. 3d character models you can't really compare since pokemon used 2d sprites for the character until x and y, but those actually looked like shit even on 3ds so nvm

Sure but also on the other hand I would love to see Unova done in full 3D. I enjoyed BDSP but if they do Gen 5 in that style I'd really want them to put in the time to make it look nice.

I think gen 5 is fine as it is, doesn't need a remake. I would prefer a port with QoL improvements and things like the fairy type and all that.
