Yep. When I played Legends: Arceus, I shiny hunted about 90 different Pokemon, and I didn’t even bother hunting the Gible line because shiny Garchomp is no different than the original.

My screenshot was from SWSH, and Kommo-o isn't even in SV at this moment.

And only the textures in SWSH were improved, not the models themselves.

Hell, the textures are only "improved" by the lighting. The 3DS ones had to have a lot of shit baked in, while the Switch ones the lighting can do a lot more heavy lifting. And even then it's sometimes hard to tell if anything changed just by looking at them, with an argument to be made that some of them look worse on a Pokemon to Pokemon basis.

The SWSH textures are slightly touched up have are double the resolution.

512×1024 compared to 256×512.

Left is SM and right is SWSH.

Dragonite is dogshit green.
Tyranitar is piss yellow.
Salamence is moss green.
Metagross is metallic silver.
Garchomp is no different than regular coloring.
Hydreigon is another dragon with moss green coloring.
Goodra's yellow and purple is not a good color combination either.
Kommo-O is a straight up faggot.
Galarian pseudo is forgettable
Baxcalibur also has same-color syndrome as Garchomp.

Conclusion. Only Metagross is good. The rest are trash. Garbage.

shout-outs to Salamence as well that looked at the color green and decided that the neon version of it would look great with its usual bright red

I actually really like almost every single other pseudos’ shinies, so those three are completely baffling to me
