It's not like neutral people will typically enter a thread, any topic predominantly draws those who either like/dislike the topic and feel the urge to act on it. Besides, as people start to discuss him again the discussions will steadily broaden. Right now, he's pretty much only discussed by husbandofags and m8 tournament crap because it's the only relevant thing that's happened to him in 20 years.
Out of respect for OP and his thread I'll share 2 big things I appreciate that I don't think he gets enough credit for:
1. They took the idea of interpol/g-men specifically from his fun plot of assaulting Team Rocket. Everybody thinks of Looker from gen 4 since that's when they made it an actual thing and fleshed it out, retroactively retconning Lance into the group. The Looker stuff is fun, and he's more of a hardboiled cop so it doesn't feel like it steps on the toes of the gen 2 plot.
2. His jumpsuit design is very understated. It emphasizes the male physique in a subtle way and pairs with the cape well. Either piece on its own is super dorky, but paired together it looks well put together. Not even discussing the framed dick, it cuts across the thigh just under his glute and the vertical lines contour his rectangle torso, giving a profile to his physique in a series where most characters are wiry.
Someone at gf definitely noticed and being the shitters they are... reused it in Galar. And then decided the character from the 20 year old franchise and an ancient dragon clan took the design from their shitty new region rather than the opposite. Then made it baggy af and slapped it on an instagram whore.
